The beautiful light filled Gallows Gallery 53 Glyde Street Mosman Park was the venue for my solo exhibition
‘Colour Is Beautiful’ that opened Thursday 23rd January 2014
Over 120 visitors enjoyed the wonderful sounds of Jazz and Swing band ‘The 2 Cent Professionals’, whilst sipping on Wills Domain wine, taking in the paintings on show.
This exhibition of colour boldly captured throughout the West Australian landscape, featured paintings previously exhibited in Agora Gallery, Chelsea, New York.
Numerous camping trips over the past year, exploring the spectacular landscape, everything it holds and soaking up the colours throughout the North-West and South-West, was my inspiration for this exhibition
Our landscape is packed full of intense colour and beauty! The stunning Pindan red and aqua blues around Broome and Cape Leveaque, the oranges and ore colours of the Pilbara and the greens and blues of the South-West have all been a wonderful source of inspiration for me.
2013 was successful for me with the sale of one of my paintings - ‘Purnululu Gold’ – in one of the two group exhibitions I participated in at Agora Gallery in Chelsea New York.
